The Mid-Atlantic Curling Association sponsors an open bonspiel twice a year, rotating amongst the MACA member clubs: Chesapeake, Philadelphia, Plainfield and Potomac.
The MACA Friendly Bonspiel is open to individual curlers of any skill level of the participating clubs, and is intended as a social gathering for members. It is intended as a social gathering as well as a learning experience. Participants are randomly assigned to positions and teams, allowing players the opportunity to curl with members of other clubs, as well as play all 4 positions of a curling team. Points are accumulated for the club by its members throughout the year in hopes of ultimately winning the MACA trophy.
