Chesapeake & Potomac Invitational Bonspiel

The 28th Chesapeake & Potomac Invitational Bonspiel (aka: Meltdown) was held February 18-20, 2011 at the Chesapeake Curling Club in Easton, Maryland.

The First Event Winners were Courtney Shaw, Melvin Shaw, Susanne Healy and Mooch Healy.

History
The Chesapeake & Potomac Invitational Bonspiel (aka: Meltdown) began in 1983 as a competition between the Potomac Curling Club and the Chesapeake Curling Club. At the time of founding, Potomac was playing on rented hockey ice, and the newly established Chesapeake Curling Club had dedicated curling ice. The two clubs jointly hosted the original bonspiel. Since that time, the clubs have alternated the hosting of the event.
